Introducing Dionté, a passionate and experienced keynote speaker who is ready to inspire and empower audiences through his powerful storytelling. With a background as a former collegiate basketball player and urban missionary, Dionté has dedicated his life to supporting inner-city kids facing similar challenges that he experienced growing up in Detroit.
After extracting valuable lessons from his time as a student-athlete, a volunteer, and a mentor at Title 1 schools, Dionté founded his own nonprofit organization, UrbanPromise Los Angeles, in 2019. His faith in God and belief in the power of education have enabled him to directly impact the lives of thousands of youth.
With a MA in Diverse Community Development Leadership from California State University - Northridge and a bachelor's degree from Tusculum University, Dionté brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his speaking engagements. His 10 years of nonprofit experience in communities of color have equipped him with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist within these communities.
